For The Long Haul | Wedding of Stephanie and Ricando

“It felt so surreal,” Stephanie begins as she recalls her wedding day. “I’m finally going to spend the rest of my life with the most wonderful man in the world!” The pair had met at a church pageant but sparks weren’t set off immediately. “It definitely was not love at first sight. We barely spoke.”  She lets us in on the early days. It wasn’t until they were crowned Mr & Miss Asia Conference that they started to notice each other!

The beauty of this wedding lies in its sytlish grace, understated but apparent in the photographs. There's an air of amiability that we really love!

THE PROPOSAL
Ricando had planned a simple and low-key proposal, the way Stephanie would have preferred it to be - a personal affair. One night after picking her up from the airport, he drove to Marina Bay Sands for dessert. “In the midst of enjoying my dessert, he looked increasingly nervous and started thanking me about how wonderful things has been between us.” Stephanie was totally caught off guard when he went down on one knee and proposed.

“Spending time with each other is important; therefore we always make time for each other. We try not to involve wedding planning during the day so that we can go about our daily activities.” The pair chose to discuss wedding planning at night, especially when they’re both relaxed. “I have an organizer which I would always carry with me. Whenever a thought comes to my mind, I would pen it down. I would then take a look at all the things or lists that I have written and would immediately email the relevant people.” Time to thank Stephanie for her tips on how she puts everything together. Getting organised really gets things moving!

What's precious about their celebration is that plenty of love and support surrounded their wedding. With loved ones by their side, nothing could be better. “Family would always there for you through good and bad times,” with this the newlyweds take home a piece of valuable wedding memory with them.
