The Glowing Bride (Part 1)

Maintain a regular routine at home by cleaning your face regularly with facial cleanser, then using a toner and finishing up with a moisturizer. Do this first thing in the morning and before you sleep. Get a suitable eye cream if you are prone to puffy eyes or dark circles and apply faithfully. You may wish to use a face scrub as well once or twice a week.

An effective beauty regime also includes watching your diet. More vegetables, fruits, water and cutting back on alcohol, oily foods and late nights can prevent outbreak of pimples and other blemishes.

A good make up artist may be able to cover dark circles and minor blemishes, but cosmetic cover-ups are never foolproof. To be safe, get help and advice from professional beauty therapists at least 6 months ahead. They will be able to help you pin-point problem areas and offer effective remedies. If you are prone to sensitive skin, check with a dermatologist before embarking on any form of treatment.

Facials can often lead to minor redness of the skin, hence we advise you do it at least a week before your big day. For best results, monthly facial sessions, 3 to 6 months before, are recommended.

Back home, chuck all cosmetics and beauty products that have caused you any form of irritation. It is best to stick to one tried and tested brand throughout. Changing the brands frequently can cause irritation to the skin.

Avoid drinking too much fluid just before you sleep to prevent water retention and puffy eyes on your wedding day.

Get started now on your beauty regime and look forward to radiant clear skin. Every bride should look fabulous of her special day!
